I paint pretty pictures in non-heroic sizes. These works are object based as they mimic color abstraction and manufactured geometric shapes. I am intrigued at how space is allocated and how a set of standards can be overrun or decorated by an individual's own customization. The corner form is based on this idea. The style in the work becomes an example of a painting. Reminiscent of product illustrations, the work is a clunky and sleek engagement of stamped out standards in transient space.
